At Woodside you are assured of a warm welcome from Norman and Ann and their two Lakeland Terriers.

Woodside is ideally situated for every activity, whether it be sightseeing, walking, climbing or mountain biking. Why not leave your car in our car park and take advantage of the fact that there are plenty of walking and cycling routes, which can be done from our door.

As keen walkers/climbers/mountain bikers we can help you plan your routes. For the cyclists we have secure bike storage, also tools, track stand (if repairs are necessary) and hose (for those muddy days). We can offer drying facilities should they be required.

There are also opportunities to participate in other activities such as water sports, paragliding, etc. Pony trekking, quad biking and other activities are all within easy reach of Keswick.

There are also plenty of opportunities for sightseeing. Castlerigg Stone Circle is a short distance away and offers panoramic view over all of the Northern Fells. Windermere, Ambleside and the South Lakes are a pleasant drive through stunning scenery.

Woodside has doubles, twins and a family room, all of which are en-suite. All have TVs, hospitality tray with Fair Trade tea and coffee, hairdryer and radio alarm. Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 8.45 am (or earlier if required).

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast, or we have a vegetarian option. We can also cater for special dietary requirements - gluten free, coeliac, etc - if given a little notice.
